As a mere infant, Moyo faced a perilous predicament. The little one was traversing a river with his herd when the current suddenly intensified and carried him away. Fortunately, an angel came to his aid just in time.
The older elephants had abandoned him, but he was lucky enough to be rescued from a group of hyenas. The Wild Is Life animal sanctuary located in Zimbabwe became his new home, and he developed an inseparable bond with founder Roxy. He has become very protective of her and doesn’t like to be out of her sight. Their friendship, trust, and love have grown stronger over time, making it difficult for Roxy to imagine saying goodbye to him.
